En Route to Abregado-Rae - Work Work Work.

The ship had just left Corellia with two extra passengers. Terand inputted the coordinates for Abregado-Rae and then set the ship on autopilot. Before leaving the cockpit, he made an announcement over the P.A. system.

"Janella, meet me in the primary cargo hold."

With that said, he went towards the other cargo hold, where he made his workshop, and picked up a crate full of spare parts. Then he went to the primary cargo hold. The cargo hold was transformed into a personal gym of sorts. Exercise equipment lined the walls while a sparring mat rested in the center of the area. Setting his jacket and weapon belt against one of the walls, Terand set the crate down on the mat and started setting out the contents as he waited.

Janella walked into the room only a few moments later wondering if they were about to start her training, a smile flickered her face when Terand saw her enter.

Janella: "Hi."

Terand looked up as his padawan entered the room. Standing up, he nodded his head in greeting.

"We're going to begin your training. Now close your eyes and empty your mind. Feel for the force with your mind. Once you have it within your grasp, feel for your surroundings with the Force."

Janella closed her eyes like he instructed, she instantly became aware of her body and the small sounds the ship made as it flew through hyperspace. She didn't quite know what she was supposed to be doing but she continued anyway, after a few more moments she began to feel the force in the center of her torse near her heart, her conciousness of it grew until she felt it running all the way down to her fingers and toes.

Janella: "I think i feel something, it's... it's warm, and it tingles a little. What is the force?"

"The Force is a mystical field that is all around us. To a Jedi, it helps guide us and gives aid on our quests. Some of the things that happen is because the Force wills it to be so. In a sense, it's like a divine aura. Now concentrate. Allow the force to be your eyes. See your surroundings with the Force."

Janella kept her eyes closed as she listened to his words, she focussed even more until she room began to materialise in her mind. She couldn't realy see but she could sense her surroundings, she could feel that HK was in the main hold sitting at a table. And the engine room, with all those intricate but undoubtedly synergetic parts. At that moment she opened her eyes and looked at her Master. "It's amazing..."

"Indeed it is. What you just learned is Force Sense and Force Sight. With Sense, you will be able to sense other Force sensitive beings as long as they aren't cloaked. Sight will allow you to see when your eyes fail you. Remember, always trust in the Force. Not all things are as they will seem."

Janella nodded.

"I shall remember."

"Good, next will be telekinesis. With this ability, you will be able to move things within the surrounding area."

Pointing his palm down to the floor, Terand used the force to gently lift a small pipe from the floor and into his hand.

"In order to move something specifically, you will need a direct line of sight with the target and a hand motion. Uses of this power include pushing things away, pulling them closer to yourself, and even levitating the target. Simply hold out your hand to your target and concentrate."

Holding his hand out, Terand allowed Janella to try this technique on the pipe in his hand.

Janella nodded and stretched out her hand, at first it only wiggled about in Terands hand but after a few seconds it shot out of his hand and into Janellas. She smiled and concentrated again, this time it gently lifted out of her hand a foot into the air and began twirling and spinning around.

Terand watched as Janella got the hang of telekinesis.

"With some practice, you'll be able to push enemies and large objects. Remember, when it comes to moving something with the force, size is irrelevant."

The pipe dropped into her hand, she looked up and brushed the hair out of her eyes.

"Okay, whats next."

With a grin, Terand removed a blindfold from his pocket and handed it to Janella.

"We test what you've just learned. Cover your eyes and use the Force."

Aiming his palms towards the floor, the small pipes and pipe caps floated into the air infront of him.

"This'll also test your reflexes."

Once she was ready, Terand would send a pipe out to hit her right bicep followed by cap aimed for her left thigh. If they hit, then it wouldn't hurt much, but may cause a bruise.

Janella took the blindfold, folded it and tied it around her head. She reached out for the force and sensed he was about to throw the pipe, she quickly grabbed the pipe as it flew towards her right arm. Then a second later she grabbed the pipe cap with her left hand, she quickly dropped them both so she was prepared if he threw any more.

Smiling at this, Terand sent three more pipes at her. One was aimed for her head while another for her stomach. The third went right for her right shin.

She sensed the second wave of attacks and prepared herself, she turned and let the first pipe aimed at her head fly past her. She turned back in time to catch the second one with her left hand and then the third with her right hand, she dropped the pipes again in case he sent another wave of pipes her way.

"Very good. Now remove the blindfold and use some telekinesis."

Once she was ready again, he sent more pipes flying at her. One aimed for her right shoulder and another for her chest. To spice things up, He began spinning the next pipes. two were sent for each knee cap while another aimed for her left arm.

She pulled the blindfold away and dropped it, she readied herself again. She caught the first one in the air with her right hand, followed by the second with her left. She dropped them both in time to raise her hands and use force push to blast the last three away from her.

"Good. You wouldn't happen to have some form of combat training would you?"

Looking around the cargo hold, Terand began using the force to draw ion all the pieces that had gotten flung around and placed them all back into the crate. Moments later, the on board A.I. came over the loud speaker to announce the arrival to Abregado-Rae.

"Looks that's it for now on the training."

He spoke to Janella as he walked out the cargo hold. On the way hot he had picked up his jacket and weapon belt from the floor. In the cockpit, he placed the jacket on the back of his chair while the belt was around his waist. He took the ship off auto pilot and went into the planet's atmosphere.

The ship made a soft landing. Grabbing his jacket, Terand put it on as he walked to the exit and waited for Janella. Once she was there, he reached into his jacket and pulled out a yellow bladed training saber to hand to her.

"Use only if you need to. Unlike a an actual lightsaber, this will at most give a person burns. The blade has no weight so most untrained to use them end up hurting themselves."

With that said, he opened the loading ramp and exited the ship.

"Yes I know Echani and K'tara, plus i'm a damn good shot with a blaster."

She followed him to the cockpit and waited while they decended through the atmosphere, once they had landed she went and grabbed her belt and met Terand by the exit ramp. She listened carefully to his advice and took the Training saber, she bowed slightly and attached it to her belt on her right hip before following her Master down the ramp and onto the unknown world.

Making his way into the city streets, Terand looked around. He had to find a private detective by the name of Rylan, but where to start? He wasn't familiar with the planet so that made things worse. Thinking back on his former life as a mercenary sort, Terand decided to check the cantina's. He strolled the street until he found a cantina and entered and went straight to the bar.

"Bartender, I'm looking for a man by the name of Rylan."

Janella followed silently behind, taking the odd look down at the laserblade on her hip.

The bartender had had a slow day today; very little had been going on recently. No fights, no big gambles, very few drunks even. Sometime it was nice to have a peaceful day, but today it just seemed boring. Something would happen, though. It always did, and the day was yet young.

He was brewing a drink for a customer when someone new approached the bar. That was not an altogether unusual occurrence; the cantina was near a spaceport, after all, but this person seemed somehow different. Plus, it was somewhat strange for someone to ask for something without preamble.

So he decided to play mysterious. Yes, he knew of Rylan; everyone did. But he wasn't going to just give this information out to just anyone.

"Do you usually ask random strangers about how to find someone?" he asked, turning towards the man. "You gonna order something?"

"Only when I'm new to the area."

He should've known the bartender would play dumb. They always did. Information always cost money before so why should it be any different now. Reaching into his pocket, he removed 50 credits and looked at the bartender.

"Depends on how much the drinks cost."

Janella began to attract some looks from the spacers around the cantine, but she was too busy listening in on her Masters conversation with the barman.
