I am talking about direct translation. Navidad = Nativity. Feliz = Merry or Happy. Fine either way, but I am just pointing this out. Wink

Feliz Navidad is roughly translated into Merry Christmas. Feliz is happyand Navidad is Nativity (the "idad" part translates into "ity" in just about every Spanish-English translation, like "cuidad" meaning "city.") You are a Spanish man, you should know this, Malas. Razz

Getting a little nitpicky, aren't we? -_-" But by the way, Mark, "cuidad" does not mean city. "Ciudad" does. Razz

Colega a mí no me emparanoies con tus gilipolleces de guiri porculero, ¿me estás entendiendo?

Ciudad se escribe Ciudad, y los sufijos de las palabras no rigen su traducción, por que te puedo soltar docenas de palabras que no cumplen esa mierda de ley que te has sacado de los cojones.

Paz, subnormal.

Some grammar rules do not apply to all languages, and some rules are used differently.

I get some of it but I'm hardly fluent in Spanish...and I suspect it might be a different dialect than the one that I'm used to.

Part two of the first spanish read:

City is written City, and the suffixes of the words do not govern their translation

Malas is actually Spanish. Most of the classes and such in school do a Mexicanized version of Spanish which is more slang and such. Just like most French classes in the US are actually French Canadian.

I got that much, Dawn. Razz

My Spanish classes taught castellano, which is a dialect they use in some areas of Spain. I think it's the most used dialect. I did learn a fair amount of Mexican slang when I was playing with a lot of Mexicans on our high school soccer team. Wink

Its just not that either...depending on the dialect there are a million possibilities...

Spain Spanish uses vosotros forms while Mexico/Latin America Spanish tends never to use that form of verb conjugation....but that's just litle ol me...in our class we used both.

In Spain the dialect spoken is Catellano, later there are different little variations of it depending in what region you live. I for example live in Andalucía, therefore I speak an Andaluz variation of Castellano, which is the most vulgar kind of Spanish, yet the only one with a song to it.
