Just Another Day

Lifting his hand, the other two droids floated into the air and all three gathered in front of Ashaiya.

"Good. Since a lightsaber doesn't have the range of a blaster, you should learn to deflect an opponent's blaster fire back at him. Try it with the three remotes."

Nodding, she then focused her attention on the three droids. Waiting for one of them to fire she kept equal attention on all of them. However to test herself even further she closed her eyes, and intended to keep them shut into she defeated each droid. Sensing the one in the middle fire first she quickly deflected it. However not at the droid. The one on the left then too fired, with the third firing shortly after. Reflecting the left remote's bolt at the remote on the right, and the bolt fired from the right to the left. She took out both of them. Turning her attention specifically to the droid now before her she deflected a last bolt, also taking the last remote out.

Opening her eyes she stood up straight and exhaled. Waiting for her Master to speak.

"It seems you have learned how to handle the lightsaber even with it's weightless blade. Set your blade to stun and we'll see just how well you can handle it so far."

Setting one hilt against the wall, Terand made his way to the mat. The other hilt shot out a fiery blade as he gripped it with both hands. With both legs spaced and knees bent, Terand waited with his lightsaber held infront of him at waist level with the blade pointed up.

Choosing the same stance as him, her silver lightsaber now placed onto stun so it wouldn't cause too much harm if it did make contact with him. Standing on the opposite side of the mat from him, waiting for him to make the first movement. It was fortunate she received combat training as child so she wouldn't be swinging randomly praying for a hit. Though she never saw him fight so she wasn't sure if she would be able to match a Jedi.

Seeing that he would have to make the first move, Terand began walking circles around Ashaiya while keeping her infront of him at all time. As he moved, the distance between them drew shorter. He wasn't sure of how well she was trained before so he remained on guard. Once the distance between them was roughly 6 feet, Terand made a quick jab for her stomach.

She kept still the entire him he circled. Keeping note of all his movements, and developing small plans in her mind pending on his movement. In her mind everything seemed to become a blur but Terand and her. Taking note of the distance between them as Terand's lightsaber extended out for her stomach she quickly brought her own lightsaber, that was positioned in front of her stomach out to his own lightsaber. Smacking the end of his lightsaber away to his right she quickly enclosed the distance between them. She stepped so close that they'd only have a foot away from each other, however kept on his left side. She made no attack yet.

When his blade was deflected, Terand's left hand left the hilt while his right hand moved out to his right . As Ashaiya stepped closer, Terand jumped back to keep some distance and allow for the chance to ready his lighsaber for another attack. With his lightsaber held down around thigh level, Terand lunged forward again, this time bringing the blade at a low slash for the side of Ashaiya's left thigh.

Watching his blade lower to his thigh and then reach out for her own left thigh, she waited into the perfect moment and leaped up a small height into the air. Enough that her body would be above the lightsaber, however that wasn't meant to guarantee her safety. Twisting her body to the right with her left leg stretched out she would kick him on the right side of his face if successful, and as her left foot then landed her right leg would stretch out to his face as well if he hadn't already moved. With her lightsaber now held just with her right hand. As her body would spin her lightsaber now in her right hand, was there simply for defense.

Seeing Ashaiya's form of defense against his attack, Terand saw her flaw. As her let stretched out, Terand made a quick duck so the kick would harmlessly pass by. While ducking down, he also used his right hand to create a force pull at the back of her pants. His attempt was to pull her down ass first to the mat while also sending her back a couple of feet away from where she was standing.

Because he was pulling on her, he only succeeded in forcing her to the ground in front of him. However that wouldn't quite slow her down as she quickly shifted her body as she touched down on the mat. Rolling back up to her shoulder blades, with legs stretched out towards him. Though her right hand still holding her lightsaber made a fist around the cylinder as she then used it push her entire body up into a bit of handstand, except not quite ninety-degrees. Her free left hand however simultaneously released a sudden but strong force push out to both of his ankles. While at the same time her body now in a slight handstand fell back down, though in a way where she would on her feet. So she did a full back-flip.

Upon seeing Ashaiya's resilience, Terand grinned. Terand watched he go into her handstand while ready to move at any moment. His legs were still bent from the ducking so he had a good low view of her movements. It was when he saw her balancing her whole body on one hand that he knew he had to act. Jumping back from his position, he aimed his free hand out towards Ashaiya and sent his own push out to negate her own. Landing just a few feet aways from where he was, Terand waited to see what his padawan would do next.

Completing her back-flip, she didn't land on her feet. Instead she let herself fall on her knees, though because of the mat there wasn't too much impact. Holding her lightsaber in front of her body she took the hilt in both hands and switched it off with the Force once again. Standing up she then turned and gave a small bow with her head in respect.

"Think that's enough for now."

After switching off his own lightsaber, Terand returned the bow.

"Very well then. You did good using the force in a combat situation."

"I merely used you as an example. After all..."

Taking the moment to fix the band on her pants after he used the Force pull on it.

"Any longer and you would've developed your own move. Force-wedgie."

Smirking at the thought, he pushed the idea from his mind.

"Perhaps you'll remember it the next time you go for a mid air attack."

"Let's just hope that my next opponent isn't as creative as you are."

Yawning she then stretched her arms briefly before speaking again.

"Anywho', I'm tired. Going to get some sleep. Night Master."

Turning around she walked back to her cabin, placing her lightsaber underneath her bed and then crawling ontop of the thin mattress where she then closed her eyes and would soon drift off.

"G'night."

After taking the remote droids to the workshop for repairs, Terand headed back to his cabin to retire.
