Nar Shadda - Guns and Paperwork Empty
PostSubject: Nar Shadda - Guns and Paperwork   Nar Shadda - Guns and Paperwork Icon_minitimeTue Oct 21, 2008 10:00 am

Many have blamed the jedi, the empire, and even the republic as the cause for massive wars through out the galaxy. Many believe, without the jedi, and the force entirely, the galaxy would be better off. Over the last few years those who would believe that would see a galaxy without the jedi and wars. What came, was an era plagued with crime, piracy. On Nar Shadda, also known as the smugglers moon, the already crime ridden planet now found itself virtually run by crime. Police forces rest almost completely within the pockets of their local crime boss. What little politicians that exist on the planet are either too frightened, too corrupt, or don’t live long enough to make a stand against crime.

However hope is not lost. Due to an anonymous tip, the reigning senator was found guilty and tried by the few remaining good men left. Now, a new senator by the name of Govon Ginn has risen to the plate, and vows to take a stand against crime. Moments after said statement, death threats poured over the holonet. This new senator would need a miracle to survive a day let alone a campaign against crime.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Govon Ginn sat comfortably within his office, looking out over the vast expanse of Nar Shadda. The room was modest in comparison to the office’s of other senators. But Govon didn’t look like much of a senator. He was short, slightly plump and his head was bald. His clothing made him blend into a crowd rather then be seen as a senator. Brown robes, similar that of a Jedi’s adorned him, though he wore no cloak. At first glance, many could safely dismiss him as… nothing. Govon looked like any sorry citizen of Nar Shadda. Some say he dressed that way to hide in a crowd when the crime bosses come after him. Others say that it’s a statement of who he is. And that he is trying to seem like a peoples man. In any case, the clothing did nothing for his already paling charismatic appearance.

Govon was a poor speaker, and struggled to write his speeches, and could not think on his feet. He was not particularly smart or talented in anything, but Govon had something no one else on Nar Shadda had. Courage, and a good conscience. Combine that with a hard work ethic, and you wonder why he’s on Nar Shadda. But despite a lack of popular support, those close to him, particularly his guards and assistants all believed in him, and gave Govon a loyalty unmatched on Nar Shadda… Not that such a thing was much of a feat.

”We must leave Govon! Your office is too dangerous! You must find a new, more secure place for your work!”

Cried a guard, standing over Govon’s desk as he stared down on the senator with urgency.

”Where do you suggest we go? The streets are far more dangerous. I probably have a price on my head! Anybody could come after me! Hell, even at a police station I‘d be more likely to be shot then protected.”

Govon’s guard fell silent.

“What we need, is more good men senator.”

Govon’s assistant said. He was an aged man, who ivory white hair and piercing blue eyes. Rugged facial hair hung on his chin, and black robes contrasted nicely with the white beard.

“Where do you suggest we find these men Taij?”

“Start from the bottom up. Find those at the bottom of the food chain, and win their hearts. Slaves, homeless familys. Besides, aren’t those the people you are saving?”

Taij said with a smile. Taij had served as Govons assistant for some time. And had always been a sort of brains behind Govons dreams. Both Govon and his guards credit the senators success to Taij, though the old assistant would never admit it.

“This city is fueled by greed. Hire mercenaries and the like for temporary protection. Then, send some of your guards to the slums of Nar Shadda to recruit those you can trust.”

”Put the word out.”

Govon said to his guard, who quickly nodded and hurried out of the room. Govon grinned, before turning back to his work. Now all they could do was wait.

Nar Shadda, better place for an ex-Sith Assassin to find some work after 231 years of cryogenic sleep. It hadn’t taken him very much time to accustom himself to the times, yet he was still a bit uniformed with the new technologies. Needless to say he had already found work that suited his specialties, and after making two halves of one of the “death stick” main distributers (his current employer) he had finally begun a reputation on this moon of sinfuls as a faithless assassin who ties up all ends when it comes to a job. It seemed that there were only rumors and stories of Jedi and Sith left in the current time but this former Sith decided it best to keep his mind closed and his usage of the force as limited as possible. Having the element of surprise on any target was key in his general occupation.

He had no publicly known face so what is the point of a name for people to call him by. His body is thin but toned mussel lies under his skin which is ash gray in color with dark silver veins visible from beneath and large patches of metallic fiber cybernetics visible all over at least half of his body, except for his face. His face is a bit boney and narrow with thin lips yet he is handsome in its own manner, his eyes solid black with red dot pupils. His hair is strait and falls just over his eyes and consists of mostly white strands with locks of silver and black. He clothes consist of a pair black tightly woven cloth pants held up with a black leather belt holding his personal affects, a black leather vest over a black skin tight long-sleeved shirt, thin black leather gloves that go past his wrists and hug his slender fingers . However, his entire appearance is fully clad under a heavy black cloth cloak with its hood up.

He walks among the crowded streets his feet silent as he steps but every two steps he takes there is a light tap of mettle on the ground for in his right hand is a staff . It is made of a black polished metal, and is six and a half feet long. Running up and down it are half centimeter, randomly curved ridges making it easy for him to grip in his gloved hands. Midway up the staff there is a small silver switch hidden in-between the grooves and at the top edge of the staff is a small one foot gap which is barely noticeable. Though the staff is very heavy, the metal being extremely dense, he carries it as if it were a feather in his hand as he moves.
He stops in front of an office building and looked up switching his eyes from window to window looking for the one he would most likely be jumping from in a few moments. Govon Ginn was up there somewhere, he could feel it.

Nar Shadda - Guns and Paperwork Untitled-1-1

Savik sat quietly in the back seat of an air speeder. The luxurious speeder cruising elegantly through the night sky, the city a blue of lights as they passed. Calm, soothing music passed through the air and, Savik sat in complete tranquility. Until of course, the music died, and a repeating beep replacing it. Savik’s face scowled as he reached for the large screen in the back seen of the roomy cabin. Flashing to life, a nervous man appeared.

“Sir, we’ve found him. He’s in his office.” The man said.

“Well that didn’t take long…” Savik responded, he grin sliding across his face. “Kill him… and make him suffer.” Savik continued.

“Yes sir.”

The music returned, and Savik faded off into nothing as he continued on his way.

Savik was and elderly man, who’s history was filled with brutal violence, bursts of rage, and crime. Born and raised on his beloved rock, the smugglers moon has always been his home. Savik’s name was something of a word that most tried to avoid. Of the many crime bosses, Savik was perhaps the most feared. A short temper had earned him the reputation many would expect of a mass murderer. Though that title could certainly fit him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Govon’s office was of a decent size, but when filled with four guards, it seemed small and crowded. His assistant managed to seem almost invisible in the corner of the room, reading peacefully while Govon shuffled unhappily through paperwork.

“Officer…” Govon said, looking for an excuse to take a break from his paperwork. “What kind of equipment do you guys have? Cus to be honest, I’m not so confident in your ability to protect me right now. I feel a little vulnerable.”

“That’s because you are vulnerable sir. You sitting high up in an office building, and a small office. You have four guards protecting you and as much as I hate to admit it…. The bad guys got better guns. All we have is some out dated S-5 Blasters. We have no armor, so when we take a bullet for you, it means we aren’t getting back up to take the next one.

“Wow… maybe we should be paying to equip our guards better then hire mercenaries Taij.” Govon said.

“Maybe… you’re the senator, you make the call.” Taij said with a smile.

He finally grinned as he saw where the window was and lowered his head and walked right to the building’s entrance with a quick chuckle. Inside he kept as low a profile as he could in a government building, walking along as if he had a place to go and something to do which he did when it came down to things. He opened his mind here and there playing a quick mind trick on anyone who gave him a suspicious look or moved towards him. He reached one of the lifts in the building and stepped inside, using one last trick to make a man who was going to join him in the lift remember he had one more thing to do on the ground floor. The assassin was alone for the quick ride up to the level he had determined the office of his target to be on. As he went up he hummed to himself a bitter sweet tune under his breath and gripped his staff a bit tighter in his hand, this was going to be easy. From what he could sense there was very little security in this building. ‘How boring?’, he thought to himself.

“Officer… this room is a bit too crowded for my liking… perhaps if you stationed yourself outside, things would be less cluttered.” Taij said with a smile.

“With all do respect, I think we’d be more vulnerable if we split up. Plus this huge window here looking over the city… much to easy to station a sniper to get Govon from another building.”

“If they were going to do it that way, they would have done it already. Savik’s style isn’t that simple anyway. He’ll want to make an example of Govon. Besides, its too crowded in here for you guys to even draw your weapons. How bout just three of you step outside, and you can stay here and watch the two of us.”

“Fine” The office begrudgingly said as he motioned for his men to step out side. And silently, they did, taking their post in the hall. With the office more clear, Taij relaxed as he let his mind slip into relaxation in his large chair.

PostSubject: Re: Nar Shadda - Guns and Paperwork   Nar Shadda - Guns and Paperwork Icon_minitimeTue Oct 21, 2008 5:46 pm

There was a quiet ping announcing that the assassin had reached his wanted floor and the doors opened and he stepped out taking in a deep breath before turning and walking down the hall. He didn’t make a sound in his steps and made virtually no noise, as he had picked up his staff off the ground and was keeping it about an inch from the ground. It didn’t take long before he came upon the three guards outside the door that would lead him to his target. His next moves were all thanks to his training in the force to increase his speed and his general training in striking vital parts of the body with precision. He moved up to the first guard without him even knowing and swung his staff with tremendous force with just his right hand against the guards neck, instantly snapping it. As the man fell to the ground with a thud the other two guards noticed the assassin but before they could do a thing he ex-Sith placed his staff on the ground and rested it on his shoulder then threw up his hands towards the two remaining guards. With the assassins hands half tightened into fists and shaking ever so slightly the two guards went wide eyes and rose off the ground just a bit, unable to say a thing as they reached up and grabbed their necks with their hands trying to pull away the unseen force hanging them in mid air. The assassin let out a chuckling laugh as he squeezed his hand closed into fists and listen to the two men’s spines splinter and the muscles in their necks tear. It was a sound so quiet yet so cherished by the assassin when he had to do off with the weaklings that were always in his way. He slowly let down the guards and laid them softly on the floor as he released them from his invisible grasp. Other then the thud from the first guard he had killed there should have been no other noise audible to the two inside the room. The assassin smirked having made quick work of the guards in the hall as he picked up his staff and walked towards the room of his target.

PostSubject: Re: Nar Shadda - Guns and Paperwork   Nar Shadda - Guns and Paperwork Icon_minitimeTue Oct 21, 2008 7:13 pm

Silence filled the room, and all three remained quiet as they appeared unaware of the three lives that had just vanquished out side the door. Most importantly, the office was not aware, and Govon simply sighed as he dropped his paperwork down and began rubbing his eyes.

“Taij… would you mind fetching me something to drink?”

“Sure.”

Taij responded as he came to his feet. Stretching briefly before passing through the doorway into the open hall. As he turned the corner however, he was stopped in his tracks. A dark robed figure moving closer, and the sight of the three dead policemen. Taij’s eyes widened as he instantly ducked back into the office.

“Officer!” Taij cried. No other words came, as no words could describe the situation in the time that they had. While the officer drew his side arm and moved quickly to the doorway, Taij quickly moved to the corner of the room where he flung open a small panel to reveal a ladder leading to the floor below them. Govon, who now held a DC-17 blaster pistol within his hand, moved quickly to the latter in hopes of getting down as fast as possible.

He grinned when he saw he was found out and heard the panic and commotion in the room just ahead. He walked up until he was just about in the door way and then stopped. The moment the officer reached the door way there was the sound of laser blade being activated and a red laser blade was visible sticking out from the officers back. The blade was different than the standard laser blade; it was thin, wide, and curved to a point. There was a light chuckle and then the blade was shut off and the man fell to his knees and then flat on his face dead. Then the assassin finally came into the view of the target. He saw the fattish bald man and grinned behind the shadows of his hood. He looked at the other man present and with a quick swipe of his left hand he threw the man up against a wall, most likely knocking him out. Now it was just the target that was holding a fire arm and getting ready to flee down a ladder in the wall. The assassin shook his head and started walking towards the target with a grin, his hand ready on the small switch on his staff as he grips the staff with his left hand as well.

PostSubject: Re: Nar Shadda - Guns and Paperwork   Nar Shadda - Guns and Paperwork Icon_minitimeTue Oct 21, 2008 8:33 pm

Ket had long concealed his force presence on Nar Shadda, taking the identity of a Taij Ek, assistant to the new senator. In the shadows, he had hoped to bring down the crime on the moon. Criminals were of little threat to the former Jedi master, however dark siders were.

Ket could only look on in sorrow as the officer fell dead at the hands of the assassin. But he could not hesitate. While Govon scurried down the ladder, Ket quickly brought up both hands, unleashing a powerful force blast to blow past the assassins, but hurdle the cloaked figure backwards out the doorway and into the hallway. Ket hoped such an act would catch the assassin by surprise, and that his own force push would batter down the opposing force. But at the very least, it would keep Ket firmly in place on the ground, and give Govon the time he needed to get to the lower floor and flee.

The assassin’s eyes went wide the second he felt the blast of force and he flew back a bit his cloak flailing around wildly. He would have been thrown out into the hallway and onto the floor if he didn’t let go of the staff with his right hand and grab the frame of the door using the blast of force to quickly throw him around it and up against the outside wall with a light thud. He let out a deep breath that sounded more like a hiss as he stood up strait and reached into his cloak. First he took out a small metal plated cup large enough to cover the nose and mouth with a bite plate on it and placed it at his mouth biting down on it, then he grabbed a vile from his belt filled with a brown powder and grinned a bit as he spun into the hall way and threw it right at and into the portal the target was headed down. The glass shattered and the brown powder started to fall down the shaft faster than the target was climbing down, some of the powder clouded into the office room as well. The brown powder was a highly toxic poison that was very deadly unless one had the right gear like an assassin would. Satisfied that he had an upper hand the assassin steps into the room again, holding his staff at the ready with both hands. There was an other user of the force and hopefully he would prove a bit of a challenge. Whether he was Jedi or Sith in devotion he did not care, he was dead either way.

Scurrying down the ladder, Govon cried as his feet moved too fast for his body to follow as he lost his footing and fell the last three feet. With a thud he hit the ground flat on his back, but managed to keep his head safe and was merely startled. It wouldn’t be long before he was on his feet and rushing for the elevator.

Ket would not be long behind the Govon. After watching the assassin swing behind the door, Ket waited for the moment until the assassin would return. Instead, a small vile quickly came flying around the corner, aimed directly towards the small hatch Govon has dropped down. At first reaction, Ket wasn’t sure exactly what had flow in, but he reacted the same way he would if any small object flew around the corner. With a swipe of his hand, the vial’s course was diverted with the force, crashing against the wall in the far end of the room. As the vial shattered, Ket could only assume it was poison, instantly shutting off his breathing as he leaped to the bottom of the ladder.

“Don’t breath! Run!”

Ket cried to Govon as he moved to help the chubby senator too his feet and with speed reach the elevator.

His eyes narrow as he watches the two flee. Now this was just becoming annoying. He spins on his head out of the door way and back towards the elevator. He knew that ladder they had escaped down did not go all the way down to the ground floor. They would have to take the elevator down the rest of the way to get out of the building. The assassin reached the elevator but did not get in it. Instead he just cut out the doors for that level so when the elevator moved down he would be able to jump on top. The elevator doors closed and the elevator started to move downwards letting the assassin step onto the roof of the downwards moving pod.
